Overview
The 4897026AA is a 1310 pinion yoke for the rear driveshaft at a Dana 44 rear axle. It comes with a bolt and strap and is a direct fit for the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) and 1998–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ).
Crown has made replacement parts for Jeep vehicles for many years. The 1310 designation identifies the yoke, so confirm the spline count matches your existing pinion before fitting.

Driveshaft and pinion care
The pinion yoke is the link between the driveshaft and the rear axle, so it carries rotating load and takes vibration from the driveline. Wear usually shows up as play at the joint, a worn seal surface or a leak around the pinion. Because the yoke, nut and seal work as a set, inspect them together when the driveshaft is out for service.
When installing a yoke, clean the splines and the seal surface first, and use fresh pinion seal lubricant if the seal is being replaced. Tighten the pinion nut to the value suited to the axle and recheck it after a short drive. A driveline vibration that appears after the change often points to the U-joints or the driveshaft balance rather than the yoke itself.
