Overview
The Smittybilt XRC Armor Front Tube Fender with 3 inch flare in black, part 76867, is a tubular front fender for the Jeep CJ7 with the flare built in. It fits the 1976 to 1986 Jeep CJ7 in the Base, Golden Eagle, Golden Hawk, Laredo, Limited and Renegade versions. The fender is finished in black powder coat.
The flare is built into the fender, giving the front a wider look over the tire. The tubular design adds strength and durability. The standard version without the flare is a separate part, 76866.
The install requires modifications to the front OE fender. The factory latch is relocated so the fender looks finished, and stainless steel hardware is included with the fender.
Key features

Clearance and flare fit
A built-in flare changes how the fender sits over the tire, so tire width and wheel offset matter more than with a standard tube fender. Measure the tire and wheel setup you plan to run and compare it with the space the flare leaves before you commit to cutting. Once the fender is in place, check that the tire clears the flare at full steering lock and at full suspension travel.
Flares are usually paired with other body and suspension work. Lift height, bumper choice and fender liners can all affect how much room the tire has, so plan those choices together. Recheck the fender bolts and latch alignment after the first few drives, because a freshly modified body can settle slightly.
