Overview
The Artec Industries JK1010 is a natural aluminum Under Armor belly pan kit for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) Unlimited four-door.
The JK Under Armor gives the Wrangler full protection underneath. It was designed using CAD files and combines 1/4-inch thick 6061 aluminum with 3/16-inch zinc-plated steel, CNC cut and formed, for a strong yet lightweight skid plate system.
Under Armor is a belly pan for the four-door JK. The plates are 6061 aluminum, which is lighter than steel and resists rust without paint, and the brackets are zinc-plated steel. Installation requires an exhaust Y-pipe modification on all models, a loop delete when a long arm HD crossmember with link mounts is used, and light trimming of the factory gas tank skid. The plate is clearanced near the rear drive yoke shaft so the driveshaft does not rub. Confirm fit for your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.

Before you install
A belly pan takes the hits that would otherwise reach the oil pan, transfer case and steering components when the Jeep drops onto rocks or ledges. Aluminum plates are lighter than steel but can dent, so check the underside after rough runs for bent edges, loose fasteners and wear where the plate meets the frame. Re-torque the hardware after the first few trail outings, since plates settle under load.
Because the kit changes the exhaust and fuel tank area, plan the install as a full job rather than a quick bolt-on. Gather tools for the Y-pipe work, and mark where the trimmed skid plate edges sit so they can be deburred and coated against corrosion. Inspect the job once it is finished, before the first trail run.

Installation notes
