Overview
The Rubicon Express RE3783 is a pair of rear upper adjustable control arms for the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ, the 2004–2006 Wrangler LJ and the 1993–1998 Grand Cherokee ZJ. Each arm allows rear pinion angle adjustment, which is the adjustment these arms are made for.
The arms are Super-Flex units built around a rebuildable spherical bearing. A threaded steel insert sets the bearing preload, and the greasable bearing has non-metallic races. The design is intended to flex more off-road while keeping on-road handling and long-term durability.

Driveline angle and alignment
Rear control arms locate the axle fore and aft, so changing their length or angle alters pinion angle and how the driveshaft works through its range of motion. On a lifted Jeep, pinion angle often drifts as springs settle, which can cause driveline vibration at speed.
Measure pinion angle with an inclinometer on the yoke and pinion flange before setting the arms, and make small adjustments at a time. Recheck after the first few trail runs or any suspension change, and watch for U-joint wear, which shows up first when angles are off.
Bushings, track bars and the rear axle mounts are often inspected at the same time. Greasing the spherical bearing during routine service helps it last, and a worn bearing shows up as clunking over ruts or uneven tire wear.
