Curved bars and surface fit
A curved light bar only looks right when the mount follows the surface. Compare the arc with the windshield, bumper or roof line before drilling, and use shims or spacers if the surface is not flat. Check that the bar sits clear of wipers, hood edges and sensors. Because the arc is fixed, a mount that is slightly off can pull on the housing and loosen fasteners over time.
Black finishes and black oxide hardware can wear from road grit and sun. Wipe the lens and housing with a soft cloth and mild cleaner, and touch up any scratched hardware before rust forms. Check the bracket bolts after the first few drives, and recheck them periodically when the vehicle sees rough roads.
