Overview
The 20 inch Adapt LED light bar, part number 220413, is an off-road light bar that changes its beam pattern as conditions change. It offers eight selectable beam patterns, from a 90 degree broad, short-distance beam to a tightly focused 15 degree long-distance spot, all in one fixture. It is universal fit.
The Adapt family runs from 10-inch to 50-inch lengths. The bar uses LED technology with new patented optics instead of moving parts, and the beam can be changed from the dash, so one bar covers a range of driving conditions without swapping lights. Rigid also offers new base-mounting options alongside traditional side mounts, and the bar’s accent lighting shifts to any hue on the spectrum, white included.
Key features
- Eight selectable beam patterns, from a broad close-range beam to a 15 degree long-distance spot.
- Active View Technology changes the pattern as vehicle speed changes.
- No moving parts; the beam shifts through LED technology and patented new optics.
- Built-in accent lighting that can be set to any color, including white.
- Base-mount and traditional side-mount options.
- Molded, backlit Dash Controller for beam patterns, Adaptive Mode, accent lighting and programmable presets.
Installing a dash-controlled bar
A light bar with a dash controller needs planning before the first mounting hole is drilled. Decide where the controller sits, route the harness and Under Dash Module together, and confirm the bar position works with the vehicle’s clearance. Keeping the cable runs short and protected reduces the risk of chafing on the frame and body.
The bar works best when the mount is solid, since a long bar on a flexible bracket can vibrate and shift aim on rough terrain. Retighten the bracket after the first few trips and check it again after heavy use. Lenses on long bars collect dust and mud across a wider surface, so a regular wipe-down keeps the beam even across the whole length.
- Plan the controller and harness routing first
- Use a fused relay for the bar
- Recheck the bracket after rough trails

Vehicle fitment
The Adapt light bar is universal fit and is not vehicle-specific, so no year, make, model or trim is attached to it. Choose a mounting position that suits your vehicle, and check that the wiring and dash location work with your setup before installing.
Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
The included wiring harness, Under Dash Module, Dash Controller and mounting hardware should all be planned together, so settle the dash position for the controller before running any wiring. Auxiliary lights like this are typically wired through a fused relay, and local rules govern when driving lights may be used on public roads.
