Mounting a grille light safely
A grille-mounted LED light sits in front of the radiator and takes road debris, washer spray and wind load. Before fitting the cradle, check that the grille opening and the mounting points are clear of the radiator, cooling fan shroud and any sensors. Use the fasteners and brackets supplied for the job, and tighten them evenly so the light does not twist.
Vibration from rough roads can loosen the cradle and the light over time. Recheck the bolts after the first few drives and inspect the wiring for chafing where it passes through the grille. Keep the lens clean, because a dirty lens reduces the light output you rely on in low visibility.
