Overview
The KC HiLites Pro-Sport Series LED driving light, part number 1644, uses KC’s patented Gravity Reflective Diode (GRD) LED technology. Each LED works with optical reflectors to maximize light output and shape the beam precisely.
The Gravity LED design is built to deliver strong light output and efficiency for off-road use. This single round light has a clear lens and a stem mount, and it is universal fit.
Key features
- Patented Gravity Reflective Diode LED technology
- Optical reflectors maximize light output
- Precise beam pattern shaping
- Clear lens
- Round single light
- Stem mounting type
- Universal fit
Stem mounts and aiming
A stem mount positions the light on a short post, so the mounting surface and the stem length determine how high and how far forward the beam sits. Check that the post has enough clearance from hoods, roof racks and cargo, and that the light can turn fully without striking anything. Stem mounts are often used where a bar or bracket is not practical.
LED driving lights are generally sensitive to voltage drops, so keep the wire run short and use a solid ground. Aim the light on level ground with the vehicle loaded as it normally is, since weight changes the beam angle. Check the lens and gasket after rough trails and washing.
- Check clearance for the full range of the stem
- Aim with the vehicle loaded normally
- Keep ground connections clean and solid
