Overview
The JcrOffroad XJARP-PC is a black powder coat RotoPax mount that bolts onto the JcrOffroad Adventure Tire Carrier to carry two RotoPax containers, in 1 or 2 gallon sizes, on the 1984–2001 Jeep Cherokee (XJ).
The mount is made in the U.S.A. and requires RotoPax Lox mounts. RotoPax cans and the Lox mounts are supplied separately.
A RotoPax container is a portable fuel or water container, and this mount holds two of them on the Adventure Tire Carrier so that the extra capacity travels outside the cabin. Because the mount is a direct fit, it bolts onto the carrier rather than needing a separate bracket on the vehicle.
The Cherokee XJ fitment list is the only vehicle listed, so owners of other Jeep models should not assume the carrier or this mount will suit their vehicle. The mount holds containers only; the containers themselves and the Lox mounts that lock them in are supplied separately.

Carrying fuel and water safely
Portable fuel and water containers add weight high on the vehicle, so keep the load secure and check it often. Rattling cans can wear paint, loosen mounts and damage caps. Make sure each container is locked into its mount before you drive, and inspect straps and latches before every trip.
Fuel should be stored in containers rated for fuel and kept upright in the carrier. Keep the caps tight and check seals for cracking or seepage, especially after hot weather. Avoid loading cans near exhaust components, and keep them away from the cabin so fumes do not enter the vehicle.
Rack-mounted cans make the most sense with a roof rack or tire carrier that stays rigid under load. Consider how the extra weight changes braking and suspension wear, and reduce load on rough trails.

Installation notes
Follow the included instructions and torque all fasteners to the specified values. Support the vehicle on jack stands rather than a jack alone while working underneath it, and re-check the fasteners after the first miles of driving. When loaded, RotoPax containers add weight to the carrier, so check that all mounts are secure and that the containers are locked in place.
