Description

Overview

The JcrOffroad RotoPax Mount (part number SWBARP-PC) is a black powder-coated bracket that bolts onto an Adventure Tire Carrier so you can carry two RotoPax containers, either 1-gallon or 2-gallon sizes. It fits the 1976–1986 Jeep CJ7 and suits owners who want spare fuel or water mounted at the back of the vehicle.

RotoPax cans and RotoPax Lox mounts are not included with the bracket. The mount requires RotoPax Lox mounts to hold the containers, so plan on those as separate parts.

Key features

  • Carries two RotoPax containers in 1-gallon or 2-gallon sizes
  • Bolts onto the Adventure Tire Carrier
  • Black powder coat finish
  • Requires RotoPax Lox mounts, which are not included
  • Made in the U.S.A.

Carrying spare fuel and water

A rear-mounted carrier adds weight and sway behind the rear axle, so the carrier, its mounting points and the vehicle’s rear structure all carry extra load. Confirm the carrier is secure and that nothing rubs the containers against the body. Cargo placed high or far back can change how the vehicle handles on rough tracks.

Keep containers sealed and check the caps and seals before each trip, since leaking fuel or water can soak into the carrier and nearby paint. Keep fuel containers away from heat sources. After rough trails, check the bolts and the powder coat for chips, as bare metal can start to rust.

  • Check caps and seals before trips
  • Inspect bolts after rough trails
  • Touch up chipped powder coat

Questions & Answers

Will the SWBARP-PC fit a Jeep CJ5 or a Wrangler?

No. It fits the 1976–1986 Jeep CJ7 in the Base, Golden Eagle, Golden Hawk, Laredo, Limited and Renegade trims. Confirm fit for your vehicle's year, model and trim before ordering.

Does the mount come with RotoPax cans or Lox mounts?

No. The mount carries two RotoPax containers in 1-gallon or 2-gallon sizes, but the containers and RotoPax Lox mounts are not included, and the bracket requires the Lox mounts to work.

What is the part number and brand?

The JcrOffroad RotoPax Mount is part number SWBARP-PC, with UPC 700007277081. It has a black powder coat finish and is made in the U.S.A.

How do I keep RotoPax containers from rattling?

Secure each container firmly in its mount and check the locking points before each trip. Loose containers can knock against the bracket and wear the mounting points, so tighten and re-check after rough roads.
