Overview
The TeraFlex Alpine IR long arm kit, part number TER1318005, is an eight-arm set for front and rear upper and lower positions, sized for a 3 to 6 inch lift. The kit is for JT Gladiator models and is a complete suspension alignment and articulation upgrade for those trucks.
The Alpine IR long arms give full alignment adjustability and use maintenance-free IR bushings, which allow unrestricted rotation and flex and add damping for noise, vibration and harshness. The arms are tube-type with a flex joint design. The long arm brackets are not included and must be ordered separately, because the kit requires the JT long arm bracket kit to fit.

Before adding long arms
Long arms control the axle’s position under suspension travel, so swapping to longer arms changes pinion angle, caster and the way the axle moves through its range. A complete arm set is meant to be installed as a system, with the brackets, bushings and hardware matched to the lift height, so partial installs can leave the axle locating poorly.
After installation, an alignment check is essential, and the driveline angles should be measured because they shift with the arm geometry. Look over the bushings and bracket welds after the first few off-road trips, and recheck the hardware for tightness. Flex joints wear over time, so inspect them for play, cracking or torn boots during regular service.
Because the arms change how the axle sits, the steering and brake lines should be checked for clearance at full articulation. Note any rubbing and correct it before driving on rough terrain.
