Description

Overview

The TeraFlex 1156223 is a 3-inch lift suspension system for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK) 2-door. It includes four preset Sport flexarms and a track bar. The front lower and rear upper arms are Sport flexarms.

The kit is engineered so the factory stability controls keep working within the parameters Jeep set for the vehicle. The lift is designed for trail use while still driving straight on the road.

Key features

  • Four preset Sport flexarms
  • Front lower and rear upper Sport flexarms
  • Track bar included
  • Suspension geometry and load tuning that keep the factory stability controls working

Before you buy

A 3-inch lift changes the suspension geometry, ride height and how the vehicle loads its springs, so shock selection matters. Shocks should be chosen to match the new ride height and the spring rates in use, since a shock that is too short or too soft can bottom out or wear quickly. Check the shock length and mounting points before buying replacements.

Owners of Wrangler JK 2-door models often pair a lift with larger tires, which adds rotating weight and can affect steering. Check the steering components, tie rod ends and driveline joints after any tire change. Look for uneven tire wear, drift on the road or noise over bumps, since these can show that a component has been overloaded or has shifted out of position.

  • Shock length for the new ride height
  • Driveline angles after the lift
  • Brake line length after installation

Questions & Answers

Does the 1156223 include shocks?

The title does not include shocks. The specifications list a Nitro front shock, and no rear shock is listed, so check the packaging before assuming a complete shock set is included.

Does it fit a 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door Sport?

Will it keep the stability controls working?

Yes. The suspension geometry, roll center and load tuning are designed to keep the factory stability controls working within the parameters Jeep set. The kit is built this way so the vehicle's systems keep their original behavior.

How can I tell if the lift components need service?

Look for clunks over bumps, worn bushings, uneven tire wear and a loose or wandering steering feel. Inspect flexarm bushings and track bar ends for play, and check the coil springs for sagging. Have the alignment checked whenever a worn part is replaced.
