Overview
The Rubicon Express RE1680 is an extreme duty adjustable front track bar made from chromoly, designed to correct alignment and handling on lifted vehicles. It is sold for 2-door and 4-door models.
The track bar allows more wheel travel than a stock unit and uses a replaceable rod end for future service. It must be mounted with the RE1675 front track bar bracket.

Bracket and wheel travel
A front track bar holds the axle centered side to side, and on a lifted vehicle it works hardest at full wheel travel. Extra travel lets the suspension cycle farther, but it also moves the bar ends through a bigger arc, so the bar and its mounting points see more load. Because the bar mounts through a separate bracket, the bracket and bar should be checked together for alignment before the first drive.
Once the bar is set, check wheel travel and clearance by turning the wheels to full lock and cycling the suspension by hand. Look for contact with brake lines, the steering box and the frame. Inspect the rod end for play after rough use, and replace it when movement appears, since a loose end changes centering and steering feel.
