Overview
The Pro Comp 9671 is a 7-inch HID spot light with a 35W bulb and an internal ballast. Its spot beam is focused, which suits trail lighting where distance matters more than width.
The Explorer HID range is fully self-contained, with waterproof connections and a multi-directional mounting base. Each light includes a pre-terminated wiring harness, a relay, impact-resistant stone guards and an illuminated dash switch.

Lens care and stone guards
Stone guards take the hits from gravel, branches and trail debris so the lens stays clear. Over time, guards can crack, fade or build up grit that dims the beam. Inspect them after each trip, and replace a cracked guard before it fails in the middle of a run.
Clean the lens with mild soap and water, and avoid abrasive pads that scratch the surface. Keep the mount bolts snug, since a loose stem lets the light shift on bumps and changes the spot pattern. A spot light mounted high on a roof bar sees more wind and vibration, so check the fittings after rough driving.

Vehicle fitment
This light is sold as universal fit rather than for a single vehicle. The stem mount works with a bar or bracket, and the 7-inch housing needs room for the stone guard.

Installation notes
