Riser block installation considerations
Rear lift blocks raise the axle relative to the leaf spring pack, which changes the angle of the driveshaft and the pinion. A tapered riser is used to bring that angle closer to what the driveline expects, but the change still needs to be checked after fitting. Brake lines, shock mounts and sway bar end links should be looked over, since they can be stretched or loaded differently once the axle sits higher.
Before buying, check the leaf spring setup and axle type on your vehicle, and make sure the U-bolts you plan to use are long enough for the stack. Blocks are usually fitted in pairs so both rear springs rise evenly and the axle stays square.
- Inspect brake lines for tension after installation
- Re-torque the U-bolt nuts after the first few drives
