Overview
It is an Ultimate Dana 60 front axle assembly with a 5.38 gear ratio and an Eaton E-Locker. It is a direct fit for the 2018–2022 Jeep Wrangler (JL) and the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator.

Front locker and steering
A front locker affects steering because both front wheels turn together when engaged. On the street this can feel stiff or push the vehicle wide in tight turns, so most drivers disengage the locker for normal road use. Front axle joints are loaded differently when locked, which makes inspection more important.
Check the CV boots and axle shafts regularly for tears, grease loss and play. Tighten the cover and steering-related fasteners to the values in your service procedure, and recheck them after the first trail runs. Clean the axle breather and inspect seals after deep water or mud.
