Choosing a front-only lift
A front-only kit raises the nose of the truck and leaves the rear at factory height. That changes the relationship between the front and rear suspension, so the truck may feel different on uneven pavement and in tight parking. The steel strut spacers add height at the top of each strut, keeping the factory spring and shock in their original positions.
Because the spacers do not change the arm geometry, the upper arms and ball joints may run at a new angle after installation. Look at the upper arm ends for play and check the boots for cracks at the first service. Owners who plan to add larger tires later should consider a full suspension plan, since spacers alone do not add clearance beyond the height they provide.
