Overview
The Rubicon Express RE1602 is a rear track bar bracket for the Jeep Wrangler TJ, covering the 1997-2006 model years. It is made for lifted TJs that keep the stock rear track bar and works with lifts from 3 to 5.5 inches.
The bracket has an angled design that lets the track bar move without binding when the rear pinion is angled up. A CV rear driveshaft setup makes this design necessary.

Pinion angle and track bar geometry
On a lifted TJ, the rear pinion angle and the track bar angle work together. When the pinion is raised, the axle rotates and the track bar’s arc changes, which is why a straight mount can bind as the suspension moves. An angled bracket gives the bar room to travel without pulling against the mount, and it keeps the axle positioned side to side.
After the lift is in, measure the pinion angle and check the track bar for clearance through full travel. Look at the driveshaft joints for binding and the bar ends for wear, and recheck the bracket bolts after the first drives. Driveline and track bar work often go together on a CV-equipped setup.
