Body style and lift choice
The body style sets the lift on these coils, so it is the first thing to settle before buying. A two-door and a four-door vehicle with the same model year can need different heights, and mixing them leaves the vehicle uneven.
Once the coils are in, check the shocks, brake lines and sway bar links for new lengths and angles. Shocks that were sized for the old height may limit travel, so inspect them alongside the coils.
Coils also carry the vehicle’s weight, so the spring seats and upper mounts should be inspected for cracks and wear. Recheck the ride height after the first few drives and again once the vehicle has settled.
