The G2 Dana 44/GM 10 Bolt Front Wheel Bearing Kit, part 30-8006, supplies the bearings for one front wheel. The kit is for Dana 44 and GM 10 bolt front axles.

Bearing wear and replacement
Wheel bearings carry the weight of the wheel and let it spin with little friction. Over time the rollers and races wear, and the bearing can develop play, heat or noise. A growl that rises with vehicle speed and changes when turning is a common early sign, while a loose wheel felt at the top and bottom points to worn bearings or a loose hub.
When a bearing is replaced, the hub bore, spindle and seal surface should be cleaned and inspected before the new parts go on. Races must be fully seated, and the seal should be installed square so it does not pinch. Use clean lubricant suited to your axle, and check the nut and preload for the setup you have.
