Overview
The G2 Axle and Gear 30-8016 is a front wheel bearing kit for one side of a Dana 44 axle. It is for Ford Dana 44 and 1986-1993 Dodge Dana 44 applications, and it has all the parts for that side.
Timken inner and outer bearings with races, plus a wheel bearing seal, come together for one side of the Dana 44 front axle. Ford and Dodge Dana 44 applications are covered.

Before you start
Pressing races into the hub takes a driver or press, and the hub bore must be clean and free of burrs before the new race goes in. Inspect the spindle for scoring, since a rough surface will wear a new bearing quickly. Dana 44 front hubs are heavy, so support the hub properly during the press work to avoid bending the race.
The seal sits at the back of the hub and is removed during bearing service. A new seal that is seated square prevents grease from leaking onto the brake parts. Pack the bearings with fresh grease, and keep the hub clean once it is reassembled.

Installation notes
Pressing the races into the hub takes a driver or press. Replace both bearings and the seal on the same side together.
