Overview
The Trail Gear 110001-1-KIT is a 3 inch IFS Eliminator lift kit, a front solid axle swap (SAS) kit for the 1986–1995 Toyota 4Runner and the 1986–1995 Toyota Pickup.

Before the solid axle swap
A solid front axle swap changes more than ride height. The axle, springs, steering and brakes work as one system, so a change to one part affects the rest. Before starting, confirm the donor axle, long spline drive shaft and rear lift are on hand, because a swap missing any of them cannot be driven safely.
Leaf spring front ends flex differently from coil setups, so articulation and steering feel change after the swap. Grease the shackles on a regular schedule, inspect the bushings and shock mounts after the first outings, and look for looseness around the steering stabilizer and hi-steer components.
