Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express JT7099 is a 4.5 to 5.5-inch suspension lift kit for the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT). Rubicon Express introduced it as a lift system for the Jeep JT Gladiator.

The lift uses rear coil springs and is a standard kit with a lift height range of 4 to 5.5 inches. Shocks are not included.

Key features

  • Lift height range of 4 to 5.5 inches
  • Rear coil spring lift
  • Standard suspension lift kit
  • The kit is designed for 37 inch tires.
  • Shocks not included

Choosing a rear lift setup

A rear coil spring lift raises the back of the vehicle, so the rear suspension geometry changes along with ride height. Shock length matters here. Shocks sized for stock height can bottom out or run at the wrong angle once the coils are raised, so many owners replace them at the same time. Check travel and mounting points before ordering a shock set.

Off-road, a taller rear end helps with approach and departure angles and lets larger tires clear the fenders when they are fitted. On the road, expect a slightly firmer or different ride until the suspension settles. Inspect the coil springs, bump stops and control arm bushings at each oil change, and look for cracks, sagging or leaks at the shocks.

Questions & Answers

Will the Rubicon Express JT7099 fit a 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator?

Yes. It is a direct fit for the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator (JT). Wrangler models are a different vehicle, so match your year and model before buying.

Are shocks included with the Rubicon Express JT7099?

No. The kit does not include shocks, and no front or rear shocks are listed, so separate shocks will be needed if the vehicle requires them.

What lift height range does the Rubicon Express JT7099 cover?

The JT7099 covers a lift height range of 4 to 5.5 inches on the Gladiator. Rubicon Express uses rear coil springs for the lift, and the kit is a standard suspension lift kit.

Should I replace the shocks when I add a rear coil lift?

Often yes. Shocks made for stock height may be too short or mounted at the wrong angle once the rear is raised, which can limit travel and wear the mounts faster. Choose shocks sized for your lift height and confirm they suit your vehicle's year, model and trim.
