Description

Overview

The Fab Fours Full Size Rear Bumper with D-ring Mounts, part number TT07-W1550-1, is a matte black rear bumper for the 2007–2013 Toyota Tundra. It keeps the existing receiver hitch and has recovery points at both ends.

The bumper is built from 3/16-inch formed steel with a matte black powder coat. Integrated steps sit on either side of the tailgate, and the factory receiver hitch and wiring locations are kept. The design is aimed at strength and durability.

Key features

  • Integrated steps on either side of the tailgate
  • 3/16-inch formed steel construction
  • 3/4-inch D-ring recovery points, D-ring mounts included
  • 1/4-inch keyed and gusseted mounts
  • 2 stage matte black powder coat; the -B suffix denotes bare steel
  • Retains the OEM receiver hitch and wiring locations

Before you install a rear bumper

A rear bumper takes more contact than most body parts, from tree branches on trail routes to tailgate loading and backing into obstacles. Steel bumpers add weight at the back of the truck, which affects approach and departure angles and can change how the rear end sits under a loaded bed. Consider how much weight you plan to carry and whether the factory suspension setup will handle it.

Before fitting, open the tailgate fully and check that the steps and mounts do not contact the bed or latch. Test the receiver hitch and any trailer wiring once the bumper is on, since the factory locations are kept. Recheck mounting bolts after the first few trail runs, and inspect the powder coat near the mounts for chips that could start rust.

Questions & Answers

Which Toyota Tundra years does the TT07-W1550-1 fit?

It fits the 2007–2013 Toyota Tundra. Later Tundra generations use different bumpers and are not covered, and the Tacoma is not covered either.

Is a D-ring mount included with the TT07-W1550-1?

Yes. The D-ring mounts are included and the bumper has 3/4-inch D-ring recovery points, so shackles are the only item to add.

What finish is the TT07-W1550-1?

The finish is a 2 stage matte black powder coat. Fab Fours offers bare steel versions with a -B suffix in place of -1.

How do I know when a rear bumper mount needs attention?

Look for loose or shifting bolts, cracked welds around the mounts, and paint chips that show bare steel. Tighten fasteners as your truck's service manual directs, and touch up exposed steel quickly to slow rust. Recheck after hard trail use or any minor collision.
