Overview
The Fab Fours heavy duty rear bumper, part number TT05-Y1351-1, is a black powder-coated rear bumper made from 3/16-inch formed steel. It keeps the OEM receiver hitch and wiring locations and adds D-ring recovery points.
An optional tire carrier is available as part TT-Y1351T-1. The bumper can be ordered in two-stage matte black powder coat or bare steel with the -B suffix.

Bare steel or powder coat
Bare steel and powder-coated steel behave differently over time. Bare steel can be painted or left to develop a surface patina, but it will rust without protection. Powder coat seals the surface, though chips still expose metal. Choose the finish based on how the truck is used, how much dirt and water it sees, and how much touch-up work you want to do.
Keyed and gusseted mounts carry the bumper load at the frame, so inspect the bolts and mounting points regularly. Tighten hardware after the first few trips and look for cracks or bending near the mounts. D-rings should be checked for wear and deformation, especially after recovery use.
