Overview
The Crown Automotive 5184456AG is a cylinder head gasket for the right (passenger) side of a 3.6L engine. It fits 2011–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK and 2011–2017 Grand Cherokee WK models, along with Dodge Durango, Dodge Journey and 2013–2018 Ram 1500 trucks.
A head gasket seals the joint between the cylinder head and the engine block, keeping combustion pressure, coolant and oil in their own passages. Match the position to the side of the engine you are repairing.

Head gasket replacement tips
A head gasket seals the joint between the cylinder head and the block, so the sealing surfaces must be clean and flat before the new gasket goes in. Removing the head is a large job, and it usually means draining fluids, disconnecting the intake and exhaust, and marking valve train components so they go back in place.
Head bolts are commonly replaced with the gasket, and they should be torqued in the sequence set by the service manual. Check the cylinder head and block for warping before reassembly. Clean any old sealant from the surfaces without gouging them, and avoid scraping aluminum with steel tools. Keep the work area clean to protect the new seal. Because one side of the engine is repaired at a time, mark which side the gasket belongs to.
