Overview
The CSS-D1-5 is a 4 inch lift spindle upright set for truck front suspension. It comes as cast spindles with a hardware kit. It is designed to level the front end and add tire and ground clearance without changing the stock ride.
Measure the truck’s starting height before installing, since some trucks need rear blocks or a rear spacer kit for a level stance. Shocks are not included, but rear shocks are offered for this truck.
Key features
- Levels the front end with a 4 inch lift
- Cast spindles for the front suspension
- Adds tire and ground clearance.
- Hardware kit included
- Knuckle-type design with a listed lift height range of 3 to 4.99 inches
How a lift spindle works
A lift spindle replaces the stock upright so the front hub and wheel sit higher relative to the frame. Because the spindle changes the position of the steering knuckle and ball joints, the front geometry moves too. Drivers often notice a slightly different steering feel and a change in how the front tires wear, so the alignment should be set once the new height is in place.
Front-only lifts can leave the truck sitting uneven, which is why measuring the starting height and checking rear clearance matters. Blocks or a spacer kit at the rear are common fixes. Re-check suspension bolts after the first few drives, since new hardware can settle.
- Measure the starting height before ordering or installing
- Check the rear for a level stance
- Plan a wheel alignment after the job
- Inspect brake lines and steering linkage for clearance

Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
Measure your truck’s starting height before installing, since some trucks need rear blocks or a rear spacer kit to sit level. Lifting the front end changes suspension geometry, so have the alignment checked after installation.
