Overview
The BOLT Lock 7023582 is a 5/8 inch receiver lock cut for a late model GM center cut key. It has a solid zinc core, a stainless steel lock shutter and a stainless steel shaft with a 5/8 inch diameter.
The shaft fits Class 3 and 4 hitches. The lock is cut for the GM center cut style, is made in the USA and has a limited lifetime warranty.

Looking after a center cut lock
Center cut keys have a different cut pattern from a standard key, so a worn or damaged key can stop working with the cylinder before the lock itself fails. Test the key on the lock at home, not on a dark trailer hitch at night. Keep the key clean and out of pockets with grit, because debris on the blade can wear the pins and make turning rough.
When a lock starts sticking, the cause is usually dirt or dry pins rather than the core. A light dry lubricant and a gentle turn often help. If the shaft or head looks bent, replace the pin rather than forcing it, since a bent pin may not seat fully in the receiver.
