Leveling a Ram 1500 front end
A front-only leveling kit changes the relationship between the front and rear of the truck. Raising the front to match the rear removes nose-down rake, which can change how the truck sits, how the headlights aim and how the steering feels. The rear stays at factory height, so loaded capacity in the bed is unchanged.
Front height changes can also affect tire clearance, alignment and suspension travel. Check the front shocks for bottoming out and worn bushings, since they work at a new position after leveling. Recheck the alignment once the new height has settled, and watch the tire wear over the first several weeks of driving.
Tire size changes should be checked against the wheel well and steering lock. A slightly taller tire can shift the speedometer and feel different in low-speed maneuvers, so review those settings after installing the kit.
