Description

Overview

The Spyder Auto Group 5010087 is a set of black Halo LED projector headlights for early Dodge Ram pickups, covering 1994 to 2002 model years.

A halo ring sits inside each projector housing. The lights are made to replace stock units directly, and bulbs come with them.

Key features

  • Halo ring design with LED lighting
  • Designed as a stock replacement.
  • Bulbs included, per the short copy
  • Black finish
  • Fitment list covers 1994–2002 Dodge Ram trucks

Halo rings and wiring

A halo ring adds a visible ring of light around the projector, and in many setups it draws power from the same circuit as the main beam. That makes the wiring plan more important than the mounting. Route the feed through a fused relay, keep ground connections clean, and confirm both halos and projectors light before sealing the housing.

Older trucks can have aged harnesses, so inspect the plugs and wiring at the headlight bucket. Corroded terminals can mimic a faulty headlight, causing flicker or dim light on one side. When replacing the set, consider a fresh relay and a new ground strap as related parts that are often swapped together.

  • Check connectors for green corrosion before mounting
  • Use dielectric grease on plug contacts
  • Keep the wiring away from hot exhaust components
  • Recheck aim after the headlights have run for a few minutes

Questions & Answers

Is the 5010087 set a pair or a single unit?

The quantity is shown as both 1 pc. and Pair. Check the package contents for the number of headlights before planning the installation, since the set is sold as a pair with bulbs included.

Do these Halo LED headlights come with bulbs?

Yes. Bulbs are included with the set. Compare the included bulbs with your current ones before installing, and confirm they suit your housing and wiring plan.

Which Ram years does the 5010087 fit?

The manufacturer fitment list covers 1994–2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and 1994–2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 models. Later Ram generations and 2002 and later 1500 trucks are not on that list.

Should I use a relay with halo LED headlights?

Yes, a fused relay is a sensible choice for halo LED wiring. It keeps the switch and the factory harness from carrying the full load, and it simplifies troubleshooting. Check the relay and connectors when you do other front-end work.
