Overview
The Rubicon Express RE7003 is a 3.5 inch Super-Flex short arm lift kit for the 1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). The kit does not include shocks. It improves on the factory ride while adding 3.5 inches of lift for more flexibility and articulation.
It suits TJ owners who want less lift than the 4.5 inch system at a lower price. The 3.5 inch kit can be upgraded to the 4.5 inch system later.

Choosing shocks for the lift
Shocks do more work once a vehicle is lifted. The arms and springs change suspension angles, so the damper has to control the new travel without bottoming out early. When picking shocks for a 3.5 inch Super-Flex setup, look for a length that matches the extended and compressed range of the new arms, and a damping rate that suits how the Jeep is driven, whether mostly on pavement or over rocky trails.
Most owners fit shocks at the same time as the arms, because stock units were tuned for factory ride height. Check the stroke against the new suspension travel, and confirm the upper and lower mounts line up once the arms are in place.

Installation notes
The kit does not include shocks, so the shocks you fit must suit the 3.5 inch lift. Lift kits also need an alignment after installation, and the driveline angles should be checked.
