Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express JT7134 is a 2-inch economy suspension lift kit for the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator JT. It uses steel coil spring spacers to level the factory rake and is a direct fit for the Gladiator trims covered.

The kit keeps the factory springs and dampers in place, using index pins and holes to locate the factory isolators. The spacers and sway bar drops work together to keep the factory geometry intact. The lift height range is 0 to 3.5 inches, and the tire size is 35 inches.

The 2-inch system makes room for 315-tall tires on Sport models and up to 37-inch tires on Rubicon models. Shock extensions and shocks are not included with this kit.

Key features

  • 2-inch steel coil spring spacers that level the factory rake
  • Index pins and holes locate the factory isolators
  • Bolt-in rear bump stop extensions for clearance
  • Sway bar drops to maintain geometry
  • No driveline or exhaust modifications required, per the brand

Choosing tires and shocks

Spacer lifts change the geometry of the front and rear suspension, so tire size and shock length should be chosen together. Larger tires need room at full lock and in the wheel well, and the bump stop extensions affect how the rear suspension works near the top of its travel. Check clearance after the first few drives.

Factory shocks can be kept with a spacer system, but the ride height change may lead some owners to choose longer units. Sway bar drops alter roll behavior, so inspect the links and bushings at the same time. Alignment should be re-checked after any change in height.

  • Check shock length against the new ride height
  • Inspect sway bar links and bushings
  • Verify front alignment after installation

Questions & Answers

Does the Rubicon Express JT7134 fit a 2021 Jeep Gladiator?

Yes. It fits the 2020–2022 Jeep Gladiator, which covers 2021 trucks in the 80th Anniversary, High Altitude, Launch Edition, Mojave, Overland, Rubicon, Sport, Sport S, Willys and Willys Sport trims.

Does the kit include shocks?

No. Shocks and shock extensions are not included, and the factory springs and dampers stay in place. Plan to source shocks separately if needed.

What tire size works with this kit?

The tire size is 35 inches. The 2-inch system makes room for 315-tall tires on Sport models and up to 37-inch tires on Rubicon models.

Do I need new shocks with a spacer lift?

Not always. A spacer lift can work with factory shocks, but longer shocks are often chosen for better travel and to match the new ride height. Check shock length against the lift before ordering.

How often should lift hardware be checked?

Check the bolts, sway bar drops and bump stop extensions after the first few drives and at regular service intervals. Look for loosening, rubbing on the tires, and wear at the isolators.
