Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express RE7122P is a 3-4 inch standard progressive coil suspension lift kit for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door. It fits the 70th Anniversary, 75th Anniversary, Rubicon, Sahara, Sport, Sport S and X trims.

The system is a short arm suspension that keeps the factory mounting locations. It includes replacement lift springs, extended bump stops and longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines.

The kit gives a 3-4 inch lift with a lift height range of 0 to 3.5 inches and a 35-inch tire size. No shocks are included with this part number.

Key features

  • Progressive coil springs as the replacement lift springs
  • Extended bump stops
  • Longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines
  • Short arm design that keeps the factory mounting locations
  • Direct fit to the listed 2007–2018 JK 2-door trims

Brake line routing

Longer brake lines are needed when a lift extends the distance between the frame and the axle. Stainless lines resist corrosion better than rubber hoses and suit a lifted front end, but they should be routed with no tension at full suspension travel. Before driving, check that the lines clear the tie rod, steering components and the frame.

A short arm progressive coil lift keeps the factory mounting locations, which helps keep the steering and control arm geometry close to what the factory set. The bump stops and springs work together, so a worn or short bump stop can let the axle hit the frame on hard landings. Replacing old bump stops during the install is a practical way to avoid that.

  • Inspect brake lines after each trail outing
  • Check bump stop contact on hard landings
  • Confirm steering clearance after the lift is set

Questions & Answers

Does the Rubicon Express RE7122P fit a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon?

Yes. The 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK 2-door Rubicon fits, which covers 2010 trucks. The Sahara and Sport 2-door trims also fit.

Does the kit include brake lines?

Yes. The kit includes longer front and rear stainless steel brake lines, along with replacement lift springs. The brake lines are part of the kit and should be inspected during installation.

Are shocks included?

No. The specifications mark shocks as not included, so existing shocks or a separate set will be needed for the new ride height.

What should be checked on bump stops after installation?

Check that the bump stops are not cracked, flattened or missing, and that they contact the frame only at full compression. Worn bump stops allow the axle to strike hard at the end of travel. Replace them when they show damage.
