Description

Overview

The Rubicon Express RE7143FPR is a Super-Flex short arm lift kit for the Jeep Wrangler JK. It comes with front and rear Fox Performance Resi shocks and is built for on and off-road performance.

Adjustable upper control arms work with fixed lower control arms in this system. The arms use serviceable Super-Flex spherical ball joints, and the kit includes new Super-Ride bushings in place of the factory bushings.

The FOX Performance shocks carry the FOX warranty rather than the Rubicon Express Advantage Warranty.

Key features

  • Short arm system
  • Adjustable upper control arms
  • Fixed lower control arms
  • Serviceable Super-Flex spherical ball joints
  • New Super-Ride bushings
  • Front and rear Fox Performance Resi shocks

Short arm setup and alignment

Short arm systems replace the longer factory arms with shorter ones that keep the axle located while letting the suspension travel. Adjustable upper arms are used to set the axle position and pinion angle, while fixed lower arms hold the geometry steady. Because the upper arms carry much of the alignment setting, expect the initial setup to take time and plan a full alignment rather than a basic front-end check.

Serviceable ball joints and new bushings make maintenance easier over time, and they should be inspected whenever you check the rest of the front end. Look for play in the joints, cracked boots and bushings that have hardened or split. Replacing worn parts together keeps the new geometry predictable. For newer trucks, confirm the exhaust and front drive shaft requirements before ordering so the install does not stop halfway.

  • Alignment after installation
  • Check ball joint boots for tears
  • Inspect bushings for cracking
  • Confirm exhaust and drive shaft requirements for 2012 and newer

Questions & Answers

Is the RE7143FPR a Jeep JK kit?

Yes. It is a Jeep Wrangler JK kit, designed for the 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler (JK). Confirm the year and model before ordering, and check the 2012 and newer requirements.

Which arms are adjustable?

The upper control arms are adjustable and the lower control arms are fixed. Both use Super-Flex spherical ball joints, which can be serviced.

Are there extra fitment requirements?

Models from 2012 and newer may require an exhaust modification or a front drive shaft, so check that requirement before ordering the kit.

How often should short arm ball joints be checked?

Inspect them during routine service and after any trail use that stresses the front end. Look for play, torn boots and stiff movement. Serviceable joints can often be serviced without replacing the whole arm, which keeps repair work manageable.
