Pinion angle after lifting

Four-door Wranglers have a longer driveline than two-door models, so check the joint angles carefully. Rear cam bolts set pinion angle, and the geometry correction brackets help keep the control arms in a suitable position. Check the joints first if the truck vibrates under load.

Measure pinion angle with a digital angle finder on a flat surface, and make small adjustments with the cam bolts. Recheck after the first few drives, since new bushings and springs can settle. Vibration at highway speed often points to a driveline angle that needs attention.

Keep an eye on the high steer components too. Look for play in the drag link, worn tie rod ends and boots that have torn. Replace any worn steering part before it affects tracking, and keep the steering stabilizer clear of nearby parts through full suspension travel.

Questions & Answers

Does the RE7145FPR fit a 4-door Jeep Wrangler JK?

Yes, it fits 4-door Jeep Wrangler JK models from the 2007–2018 range. Check your year, trim and model before ordering, since this kit is sold for 4-door bodies.

Is the high steer kit included?

Yes. A new high steer kit is part of the package along with the control arm geometry correction brackets, so the steering side is addressed in the same purchase.

Where is the kit made?

The kit is made in the USA, with the high steer kit and geometry brackets included in the same package.

How often should steering parts be inspected after a lift?

Inspect them at every service interval, and after any off-road trip with hard impacts. Look for play, torn boots and uneven tire wear, and replace worn components before they affect steering control or alignment.
