Driveline after a rear lift
A rear lift raises the axle relative to the transmission, which changes the pinion and driveshaft angles. The tapered blocks help keep those angles workable, but the driveline still needs a check after installation. Vibration at highway speed is often the first sign that the angle has moved too far.
Longer shock mounts or relocated brackets may be needed, because a rear lift extends the shocks and can push them toward the end of their travel. Brake lines and the parking brake cable should be checked for stretch as the axle drops. Confirm the U-bolts seat evenly on the axle and re-torque them after the first few drives, since leaf springs can settle.
