Overview
The Brandmotion SummitView Dual Camera Vision System, part number SUTV-8849, gives the Jeep Wrangler JK a front camera and a rear camera on the factory display. It is designed to show the view ahead of the vehicle as well as the view behind it.
The forward view helps on hill and rock climbing and is useful for general off-roading. The front camera also gives parking guidance for driving in towns and cities. A toggle switch moves between the front and rear cameras.
The kit is designed for virtually any wheel and works with standard parking gridlines. It is built for the factory 6.1-inch display and works with MyGig radios, both navigation and non-navigation models. It works with both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Key features
- Front and rear camera views on the factory display
- Toggle switch between the front and rear cameras
- Front view helps on hill and rock climbing
- Front camera gives parking guidance in town
- Designed for virtually any wheel
- Standard parking gridlines
- Works with MyGig navigation and non-navigation radios
Front camera use on trails
A front camera adds a view that the driver cannot see from the seat, which is useful on steep climbs and over ledges where the hood hides the terrain. Keep the camera lens clean, since mud and spray can block it quickly on trails. Watch the view for obstacles on both sides, because the image covers only the centerline of the vehicle.
Toggle switch placement matters. Mount the control where it can be reached without looking away from the road, and route its cable so it does not catch on the console. Recheck the front camera aim after any bumper or bracket contact, and clean the lens after every wash or mud crossing. Use the rear view as usual for reversing.
- Keep front lens clean on mud trails
- Route toggle cable clear of the console
- Recheck front aim after bumper contact
