Overview
The Rugged Ridge 18050.83 is a heavy-duty tie rod and drag link kit with factory tapered ends. The tie rod assemblies offer virtually 1-ton strength and install without modification.
The kit is designed to help prevent bent tie rod tubes when running larger tires off road. It is a complete drag link and tie rod set.

Tie rod and drag link upkeep
A drag link and tie rod set carries steering force from the steering box to the front wheels, so the joints and tubes see constant load. Off-road use with larger tires adds stress, which is where bent tubes and worn ends usually show up. Regular inspection catches play before it becomes a steering problem.
When replacing the set, check the steering box, pitman arm and knuckle connections for wear, since those parts work with the linkage. Torque fasteners to the values given for your vehicle, and install cotter pins correctly. Grease the zerk fittings after assembly and recheck the joints after the first few trail runs.
