Description

Overview

The Rock Krawler RK01941 is a heavy-duty rear sway bar link for the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) and the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). The links are adjustable and extended, and Rock Krawler says they suit 3 to 5 inches of lift.

The links offer adjustability and a rattle-free ride. They are made of solid alloy steel with a corrosion resistant zinc coating, have non-greasable joints, and are made in the U.S.A.

Key features

  • Adjustable extended design
  • Solid alloy steel construction
  • Corrosion resistant zinc coating
  • Non-greasable joints
  • Made in the U.S.A.
  • Sold as a pair

Setting link length

Rear sway bar links connect the axle to the sway bar and control how the body leans and how the axle moves side to side. On a lifted Wrangler the angle of these links changes, so the length you set has a direct effect on ride and clearance. Set the length with the truck at its installed ride height, then check that the links, brake lines and axle housing clear each other through full suspension travel.

Adjustable links are often replaced during a suspension upgrade, because the bushings and mounts carry the same loads as the new parts. At each service, look for play in the joints, cracked boots, bent bodies and damaged threads. Tighten all fasteners after the first few drives, since new hardware settles as it is used.

  • Measure your lift height before setting link length
  • Recheck jam nuts after the first trail runs
  • Replace links in pairs for even handling

Questions & Answers

Does the Rock Krawler RK01941 fit a Jeep Wrangler TJ?

Yes. It fits the 1997 to 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ in several trims. The 2004 to 2006 Wrangler LJ, including Unlimited and Unlimited Rubicon, is also covered.

What lift height do these rear sway bar links suit?

The links suit 3 to 5 inches of lift. Because they are adjustable and extended, you set the length to match your lift height.

Are the RK01941 links greasable?

No. These links are non-greasable, so there is no grease fitting to service. They are built from solid alloy steel with a corrosion resistant zinc coating, which helps them resist rust over time.

How often should rear sway bar links be inspected?

Check them at every oil change or tire rotation, and again after any trail run that involved hard articulation. Look for play at the joints, cracks in the body, and threads that show wear. Any sign of looseness is a reason to replace the pair.
