Overview
The Rampage 86515 is a one-piece 3-D grille made of formed steel, designed to mount behind the factory grille shell on the 2004–2006 Jeep Wrangler (LJ) Unlimited and the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ).
It is offered in a gloss black powder-coat finish or a black finish with polished clear coat. The three-dimensional surface gives the grille a layered look from the front, and the design is made for the Jeep factory grille shell.

Mounting behind the shell
Mounting behind the factory shell means the grille sits in the opening rather than on the surface, so its edges and fasteners need to line up with the shell’s own mounts. Test fit the piece before final tightening and check that it does not press against the headlight housings, radiator or hood latch. Small spacers or a different bracket may be needed if the shell has worn tabs.
Older Wrangler front ends see a lot of heat and road grit, so inspect the powder coat and clear coat each season. Chips in the gloss black finish can expose bare steel, so touch them up promptly. Clean with mild soap and a soft cloth, and avoid abrasive pads that scratch the polished areas.
