Overview
This rear reservoir shock from the Fox 2.0 Factory Series fits 2005–2017 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks. It is a direct replacement for the original rear shock location and is rated for 4 to 6 in. of lift.
Its build targets suspension travel and control on and off the road. The design pairs a smooth body reservoir with a CD adjuster.
Key features
- Smooth body reservoir design
- CD adjuster
- Direct fit replacement for lifted Super Duty trucks
- Rear position
- Rated for 4 to 6 in. of lift
Lift height and driveline angles
A lift changes the angle of the driveshafts and the steering linkage, and those angles shape how smooth the truck feels at speed. Rear shocks help control axle movement over bumps, so a shock that is worn or the wrong length can make the rear end feel out of step with the rest of the setup.
Before fitting a new rear shock on a lifted Super Duty, measure ride height and check the driveshaft U-joints for play. Heavier trucks with added accessories also put extra strain on the rear shock mounts, so inspect the eyes and bolts as part of the job. Compare the old and new shock length to avoid bottoming.
- Check driveshaft U-joints for play
- Measure ride height at each corner
- Inspect rear shock eyes and bolts
- Compare old and new shock length
