Thread direction and side
Tie rod ends on the passenger and driver sides are often mirror images, and the thread direction is chosen so the adjusting sleeve turns the right way during toe setting. A right hand thread end on one side and a left hand thread end on the other is a common arrangement. Mixing them up leaves the wheel out of adjustment and can make the sleeve difficult to turn.
