Overview

Belt-rail mounting and daily use
Belt-rail attachment spreads the load along the bed rails rather than relying on bolts through the bed floor or walls. That makes it a practical option for owners who want to avoid drilling, but the belts still need to sit square and snug. Check the tension after the first few drives, since fabric tops settle as the material stretches.
Stretch fabric is flexible, which helps it conform to the bed, but it can also collect grit and moisture in creases. Brush off debris before folding and keep the windows free of sap and road film. Dry the top fully before storing it, and inspect the powder coat hardware for chips that could let rust start.
Tinted side and rear windows reduce glare, but they are not a substitute for a fitted cab cover in winter weather. Before a long trip, confirm the windows zip closed evenly and that the belt tension is still even on both sides.
