Overview
The Advance Adapters 344002 is a complete shifter assembly for the Jeep Wrangler TJ with an Atlas transfer case. It is built for TJ models from 1997 through 2006.
It is for a 4-speed Atlas transfer case in a vehicle with an automatic transmission.
Shifter fit and linkage
A shifter assembly carries the driver’s shift motion through the linkage to the transfer case shift lever. On a TJ, the shifter is part of the transmission and transfer case control, so the bushings, pivot points and rod connections all affect how shifts feel.
Because the shifter is a complete assembly, check that the mounting bolts, boot and bushings line up with your floor pan and console. Old bushings and pivots often wear at the same time as the shifter, so inspect them while the shifter is out. Keep moving joints clean and lubricated with the grease your linkage requires, and test every range after installation before driving.

It fits the 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ with an Atlas transfer case.
