Overview
The Advance Adapters 713001-S is a weld-in engine mount kit for Chevy V8 small block and 43L V6 engine swaps into a Jeep. The mounts use a black rubber bushing and come as a complete kit.
Advance Adapters makes specialty mounts for transplanting a different engine, but no vehicle years, models or trims are given for this kit.
Key features
- Weld-in mounts
- Sold as a complete engine mount kit
- Rubber bushing in black
- Designed for Chevy V8 small block and 43L V6 swaps into a Jeep
Planning a weld-in swap
A weld-in mount is only as good as the frame section it is welded to. Before cutting or welding, confirm the mounting points are sound and free of rust, and mark the engine position so the mounts line up with the drivetrain. Mount height and angle affect driveline angles and clearance, so check them with the engine in place rather than trusting a measurement taken on the bench.
Welding should be done by a qualified fabricator who can control heat near the frame and any fuel or brake lines. Once welded, allow the mounts to cool, then inspect the welds for cracks or incomplete penetration. Set the final engine position with the available adjustment before tightening the hardware.
Rubber bushings can deteriorate from heat and oil exposure, so keep them away from exhaust components and recheck them after the first few drives. A swap usually involves other parts that get replaced at the same time, such as transmission crossmember mounts and exhaust hangers, so review those with the engine position in mind.

Vehicle fitment
Mount fit depends on your frame and engine layout, so confirm it against your own vehicle before ordering.
Confirm your vehicle’s year, model and trim before ordering.
Installation notes
The mounts are weld-in, so installation requires welding to the frame rather than bolts. Have a qualified fabricator do the welding and check engine position before final mounting.
What’s included
Check the individual brackets, bolts and welding hardware against your installation before starting.
