The Trail Gear 130512-1 is a polished aluminum power steering reservoir with a cap, made for high flow pump installs. A larger reservoir is needed with a high flow pump, since the stock reservoir works with the stock pump but is too small for TC-style aftermarket pumps.

Fluid level and pump matching
Pump demand and reservoir size go together. A pump that moves more fluid through the system needs a reservoir that can hold enough fluid to keep the pump fed, especially under hard steering or when the system warms up. A reservoir that runs low can draw air, which causes foam, noise and uneven steering assist. Matching the reservoir to the pump is part of keeping the whole steering system stable.
Before installing, check every fitting against the pump and lines so the ports align without strain. Polished aluminum is easy to keep clean, but it shows fingerprints and water spots, so wipe it dry after washing the engine bay. Recheck the fluid level after the first few drives, since the system needs time to purge air from the new lines.
