Overview
The Rough Country RC606 is a 3-inch body lift for 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ models with automatic transmissions. The spacers are fiberglass reinforced nylon, and the kit is built for owners who need extra room for a belly-up kit, an engine conversion or a similar change.
The kit includes grill support brackets, radiator support brackets, a steering spacer and strap, an overflow extension, fuel filler extensions and shift control brackets for automatic transmissions. It requires no cutting or exhaust modification and includes Grade 8 hardware.

Automatic TJ setup considerations
Automatic TJs often carry shift linkage that runs near the body, and a body lift moves the cab away from the frame, so the linkage needs to be checked after installation. The included shift control brackets are designed to hold the shifter in position as the body rises. Look for binding, hard shifts or a shifter that sits at a different angle than before.
Pairing a body lift with larger tires usually means checking steering stops, brake lines and the fuel filler hose for stretch. Owners running a belly-up kit or engine conversion may also need to revisit cooling and exhaust routing. Inspect the spacers and brackets for cracks at the bolt holes after the first few drives, and retorque the hardware at regular service intervals. Keeping a record of torque checks makes future service easier.

Vehicle fitment
It fits the 1997–2006 Jeep Wrangler (TJ) in 65th Anniversary Edition, Rubicon, SE, Sahara, Sport and X trims.
It is for automatic transmission TJs and does not fit manual transmission models. Confirm your transmission before ordering. Wrangler JK, LJ and JL models are not covered.
Installation notes
Automatic models use the shift control brackets included in the kit. Rough Country says no cutting or exhaust modification is needed.
