Overview
The Power Stop KC1943A-36 is a Z36 Extreme Performance Truck and Tow 1-Click brake kit with calipers for the front of the 2005–2008 Ford F-150 and 2006–2008 Lincoln Mark LT.
The Z36 kits are Power Stop’s heavy-duty option: slotted and cross-drilled rotors plus Z36 high-friction metallic pads, aimed at braking in wet, hot and hilly conditions or while towing at max weight.

Towing and brake heat
Brake fade is most likely when a heavy truck tows on long downgrades, because repeated stops push pad and rotor temperatures up quickly. High-friction pads tolerate that heat better than many standard pads, but they can be harder on rotors and may produce more brake dust. Expect a little more noise when the pads are cold, and allow a short bedding procedure so the friction material transfers evenly.
Before the first tow, check that the front brake hoses are not cracked and that the caliper slide pins move freely. Greasing the pins with the Hi-Temp lubricant helps prevent uneven pad wear. Trailer brakes and the tow vehicle’s brakes work together, so keep following distances longer when the load is heavy.
