Poison Spyder Customs builds this full roll cage from its Lazer-Fit Full Cage Kit, which is CNC laser notched and NC bent for a precise fit, and then has the kit professionally welded together in its assembly fixtures. The company positions the welded version for hard-core four-wheeling and for owners who have no access to a welder or simply do not want to weld their own cage. Poison Spyder says all of its cages use 100% DOM structural tubing and that DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubing exceeds the more common HREW (Hot Rolled Electric Welded) tubing in tensile and yield strength.

Before installing a roll cage
A roll cage is part of the vehicle’s safety system, so even a fully welded bolt-in kit deserves a careful install. The mounting points on the body and frame must be sound, and the cage needs to sit square with the floor and roof. Check that the seat belt anchors and seats still clear the cage bars once it is in place.
After installation and after any hard trail use, look over the bolts, the plate steel mounts and the welds at the joints. Padding on the bars helps protect occupants during contact, but it does not replace seat belts or a proper helmet. A qualified installer or fabricator can confirm the finished work.
