Overview
The Centerforce CFT360049 is a Series II pressure plate for Ford F-series pickups, Ford Bronco and Ford Econoline vans. It covers 1977–1996 Ford F-150, F-250 and F-350 models, 1980–1996 Ford Bronco models, 1980–1983 Ford F-100, the 1993–1994 Ford F-150 Lightning, and Econoline E-100, E-150, E-250 and E-350 vans from 1978 to 1989.

Towing and heavy loads
Trucks used for towing put more heat and load through the clutch than daily driving does. Full facing discs spread the friction area across the face, which suits heavy use when the disc is matched to the engine and the vehicle. Pulling a trailer uphill means long periods of clutch engagement, so drivers should keep the pedal fully released once the truck is moving.
Clamp load and disc condition work together. A new pressure plate with a worn disc can glaze or slip, and a new disc with a worn flywheel can chatter. Inspect all three during the job, and check the release bearing, linkage and pilot bearing for play. Trucks with long service lives often benefit from a periodic inspection after heavy towing seasons.
